Websites, domains & SSL
Everything for hosting a site: the vhost, its names, DNS, and HTTPS.
Websites
Websites → Add website: enter the domain, pick the owner/tenant, and OrbixPanel creates the document root and web-server vhost. From the list you can open a site, change settings, or remove it.
Subdomains
Subdomains adds names under a website (blog., api.), each with its own document
root, vhost, and DNS record created in one step.
DNS
DNS manages the zones hosted on this server.
- Create a zone for a domain and add records: A / AAAA / CNAME / MX / TXT / NS.
- Set up self-hosted nameservers (ns1/ns2 + glue at your registrar) if you want the panel to be authoritative.
- Add SPF / DKIM / DMARC TXT records for email (see Email & deliverability).
Certificates (SSL/TLS)
Certificates issues and tracks Let’s Encrypt certs.
- Make sure the domain’s A record points at this server.
- Request SSL for the website/subdomain — certbot issues the cert and the vhost switches to HTTPS, with auto-renewal.
- If issuance fails, it’s almost always DNS or a missing vhost — fix and retry.
Have a purchased, wildcard, or EV certificate instead? Install it directly — see Third-party SSL.
WordPress
WordPress installs and manages WP sites in a click: choose the domain, admin credentials, and OrbixPanel sets up the database, files, and site. Use it to update, secure, and manage installs.
Hosting many sites on one box? Each website is an isolated vhost + docroot; assign ownership to tenants to delegate.
