Deploy a Remix app on OrbixPanel

Remix is a full-stack React framework that runs as a Node server app on OrbixPanel: build it, run it, listen on $PORT.

Scripts

Remix projects ship the right scripts by default:

OrbixPanel runs npm ci → npm run build → npm start. Because a start script exists, it’s served as a live Node process (loaders, actions, and SSR all work).

The $PORT rule

remix-serve listens on the PORT environment variable, which OrbixPanel sets — so there’s nothing to configure. If you use a custom server (Express adapter), make it listen on process.env.PORT on 0.0.0.0. See how deploys work.

Deploy

Apps → Deploy from Git → repo + branch → Deploy → add domain + SSL.

Data & secrets

• Connect a database on localhost from your loaders/actions.
• Keep API keys and the session secret in environment variables.

Troubleshooting

• 502 after deploy → not binding process.env.PORT, or a boot error — check the deploy log. → Fix 502
• Slow responses / timeouts → a slow loader or query → Fix 504.
