Deploy WordPress
WordPress is the opposite of a React site: it’s a dynamic app — a PHP program that runs on the server and stores everything in a database (static vs dynamic). The good news: you don’t assemble those pieces yourself. OrbixPanel installs the whole thing in one click.

- In OrbixPanel, open WordPress (or the App Catalog) (WordPress).
- Choose the domain, and set your admin username, email, and password.
- Install. The panel creates the database, installs PHP, downloads WordPress, and wires it all together — the pieces from Databases for beginners are handled for you.
- Request SSL so it’s
https://(SSL). - Log in at
yoursite.com/wp-adminand start building.
First things to do after install
- Pick a theme and set your site title (Appearance / Settings in wp-admin).
- Update everything — WordPress core, themes, and plugins — right away, and keep them updated. Outdated plugins are the #1 way WordPress sites get hacked.
- Install only plugins you need, from reputable sources.
- Set up backups so you can roll back (Backups).
Why it’s different from the React guide
| React/Vite site | WordPress | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | Static files | Dynamic PHP app |
| Needs a database? | No | Yes (made for you) |
| How to deploy | Upload the build | One-click install |
| How to edit content | Re-build & re-upload | Log in to wp-admin, click around |
WordPress keeps your content in the database, not in files you upload. So you build pages by logging in — not by editing files. That’s the whole point of a “dynamic” site.
Keeping it fast & safe
Turn on a malware scan and caching where available, choose a supported PHP version, and keep automatic updates on.
