AI & automation
OrbixPanel’s AI is optional and pluggable — the whole product works without it. When you enable it, it helps you and your tenants work faster.
AI copilot
AI configures the assistant per scope (panel / reseller / tenant / support / storefront). For each scope you set the provider and model:
- Local models via Ollama (install with
orbixpanel ai install) — private, no per-token cost; needs enough RAM (a tool-capable model like Qwen2.5-3B ≈ 4 GB). - Hosted models (OpenAI/Anthropic/Groq, any OpenAI-compatible endpoint) — no local RAM, reliable tool-calling; best on small boxes.
Settings inherit tenant → reseller → panel, so you can set a default once and override per scope.
What it can do
- Answer questions about the panel and the account (reads run instantly).
- Act — for anything that changes state, it proposes the action and shows a confirm-every-write card; nothing changes until you approve. Actions need a tool-capable model.
Managed services
Managed Services provisions and manages add-on infrastructure (databases, caches, and other services) that apps depend on — provisioned through the agent, tracked in the panel.
Ops agent
Ops Agent is the automation/operations surface for the agent — status, self-monitoring, and automated operational tasks. Pair with Monitoring & alerts.
On a ~1 GB box, point the copilot at a hosted model — local tool-capable models need several GB of RAM and will otherwise fail to respond.
