Accept payments with Stripe and PayPal

To charge for plans and invoices, connect a payment gateway. OrbixPanel supports Stripe and PayPal — use one or both.

Connect a gateway

In the panel’s Payment Gateways area:

  1. Choose Stripe or PayPal.
  2. Enter the gateway’s API keys (from your Stripe/PayPal dashboard).
  3. Start in sandbox/test mode to verify everything, then switch to live.

Reference: Payment gateways.

Test in sandbox first

Always run a full test purchase in sandbox mode before going live:

  • Create a cheap test package, check out as a customer, and confirm the invoice is marked paid and the account provisioned.
  • Stripe and PayPal both provide test card numbers / sandbox accounts for this.

Webhooks — why they matter

Payments confirm asynchronously: after a customer pays, the gateway calls a webhook on your server to say “this invoice is paid.” That’s what flips the invoice to paid and provisions the account. If payments succeed but accounts don’t activate, the webhook isn’t reaching your server — check that:

  • Your domain is reachable over HTTPS.
  • The webhook URL is configured in the gateway dashboard.
  • Port 443 is open (firewall).

Going live

  1. Switch the gateway from sandbox to live keys.
  2. Do one real low-value purchase end to end.
  3. Confirm payout settings in your Stripe/PayPal account.

Currency & cycles

Set the price, currency, and billing cycle per package — monthly and annual plans can coexist.
