Connect your email to webmail, phone, or desktop
Once you’ve created a mailbox, you can read and send mail three ways: webmail in the browser, a phone, or a desktop client.
Webmail (nothing to install)
OrbixPanel includes webmail — open it from the panel, sign in with your full email address and password, and you’re in. Perfect for quick access anywhere.
Phone & desktop (IMAP + SMTP)
Add an account in Apple Mail, Outlook, the Gmail app, Thunderbird, etc. using these settings. Use your full email address as the username.
Incoming — IMAP (recommended, keeps mail in sync):
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Server | mail.yourdomain.com (your mail hostname) |
| Port | 993 |
| Security | SSL/TLS |
Outgoing — SMTP:
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Server | mail.yourdomain.com |
| Port | 465 (SSL) or 587 (STARTTLS) |
| Security | SSL/TLS or STARTTLS |
| Authentication | yes — same username & password |
Use IMAP, not POP3, so the same mail shows up read/sent across all your devices.
Troubleshooting
- Can’t connect / certificate warning → make sure the mail hostname has valid SSL and resolves to your server.
- Can receive but not send → your client isn’t authenticating on SMTP, or the outgoing port is blocked by your local network (try 587 vs 465).
- Everything fails → confirm the mailbox exists and the password is right; test in webmail first to isolate client vs server.
